London’s famous Gordon’s dry gin, with a dash of vodka and Kina Lillet is used to make a Vesper Martini – James Bond’s favorite drink. Together with Pimm’s No.1 Cup they still features amongst the top 5 cocktails drunk in England. Pimm’s origins are quite interesting – around 1823, a farmer’s son named Pimm served a gin-based drink containing a secret mixture of herbs and liqueurs as an aid to digestion in an oyster bar in the City of London. He used to serve it in a tankard and called it the No. 1 Cup! Ready-mixed cocktails (RTDs) are increasingly popular but the big boom is in frozen cocktails.
