Gin
The number of gin distilleries in Britain has doubled in six years, with 49 opened in 2015 alone after a huge boost in demand. Domestic sales of gin are set to outstrip those for blended Scotch whisky by 2020 and Scotland now produces 70% of the gin consumed in the UK, with more than 73 distilleries opening between 2010-2014.
